Publication Cards

This 4" x 6" 32-page card album entitled "Great Disasters That Shook The World " was made by The Rover, a publication printed in London by Thomson & Co. around 1934. It contains a complete set of 21 hand-cut numbered cards measuring 2" x 1.5". Each card shows a picture of various disaster scenes that are glued next to the complete story. The album cover page shows the sinking of Titanic. Card #2 is a crude picture of Titanic's crows nest and bow as it approaches the iceberg.

Measuring 11 3/8" x 3 3/8" this 1950 French Poulain Chocolat card describes the invention of the radar and how it could have helped the "Titanic Catastrophe." This long card is #21 of a 21 card series and is presumed to have been a package premium.
