This
is a 12" x 3" wood carved wine bottle made
of pitch pine from Olympic's deck. It
was installed at the Haltwhistle Paint factory in
1935 when the Olympic was stripped of her fittings
and auctioned. Smith & Walton bought a large quantity
of her fittings to fit out a new office block and
canteen. The reverse side has a printed plaque indicating
it was made from timbers of the Olympic. It was turned
by one of the very talented previous owners in the
United Kingdom who creates beautifully carved pieces
                            from authentic Olympic wood.
